Wimbledon 2027 ballot - how it works and when to enter

The LTA Advantage Wimbledon ballot is the main route most tennis fans use to try to get tickets to The Championships, and the opt-in for 2027 closes on Monday 31 August 2026. If you want to be in the draw, this is the deadline that matters.

Who can enter: the ballot is open to LTA Advantage members at Fan+, Play+ or Compete tier. The free basic Fan tier does not qualify, which is the single most common reason people cannot find the opt-in in their account. Fan+ membership costs £25 a year. Separate ballots exist for Accredited+ coaches, venue volunteers and LTA licensed officials.

How to enter: log in to your LTA Advantage account, go to MyBenefits and follow the links for the Wimbledon ballot opt-in. The window is open now and closes on Monday 31 August 2026.

What happens next: the draw takes place shortly after the ballot closes. Every eligible entry has an equal, random chance of selection - there is no advantage to opting in early, and none to having been a member longer. If you are successful you are offered the chance to buy one pair of tickets for a specific date and court, subject to availability.

The reality of the ballot is that it receives far more applications than there are tickets, so most people who enter are not selected. That is not a criticism of the ballot - it is simply what a random draw for the most oversubscribed tournament in tennis looks like. If you are not selected, or if you would rather not leave a fixed date in the diary to chance, hospitality is the other route in: a booking rather than a draw, with a reserved show-court seat, lounge access and dining across the day.

The ballot

A random draw. Free to opt in, but requires a paid LTA Advantage tier. One pair of tickets if selected, for a date and court subject to availability. Most applicants are unsuccessful.

The Queue

Wimbledon is one of very few major sporting events still selling tickets on the day of play. Fans queue, often overnight, for a limited number released each morning. No cost beyond the ticket, no guarantee, and a significant time commitment.

Hospitality

A booking rather than a draw. A reserved show-court seat, dining, lounge access and a dedicated entrance instead of The Queue. DN Global is not the official hospitality provider for The Championships - experiences are sourced through our network and confirmed to you in writing before you commit.

Three routes in

Wimbledon 2027 tickets - ballot, Queue and hospitality explained

There are three realistic ways to be at Wimbledon 2027, and they suit very different people.

The LTA Advantage ballot is a random draw, free to opt into with a paid Advantage tier, closing on Monday 31 August 2026. If you are drawn you may buy one pair of tickets for a specific date and court. It is the cheapest route and the least certain one.

The Queue is the oldest route and still genuinely open to anyone: turn up, often the evening before, and take your chance on the tickets released each morning. It costs you time rather than money, and it does not let you plan a fixed date months ahead.

Hospitality is the route for people who need the date to be settled. Rather than entering a draw you make a booking: a reserved seat on Centre Court or No.1 Court, dining and lounge access across the day, and a dedicated entrance rather than The Queue. DN Global arranges these through our network - we are not the official hospitality provider for The Championships, and we confirm in writing exactly what is being sourced before you commit to anything.

Fan+ costs £25 a year. To enter, log in to your LTA Advantage account, go to MyBenefits and follow the links for the Wimbledon ballot opt-in.

The Championships 2027 run from Monday 28 June to Sunday 11 July 2027 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in south-west London. A premium Wimbledon hospitality experience typically combines a reserved show-court seat with a private or shared dining venue, a champagne reception, a multi-course lunch, afternoon tea, and a hosted bar through the day. Guests use dedicated VIP and hospitality entrances rather than queuing. Packages vary considerably by court, day and provider. DN Global is not the official hospitality provider for The Championships - experiences are sourced through our network - so your named account manager will confirm precisely what is included before you commit to anything.

No. DN Global is not the official hospitality provider for The Championships, and we do not claim to be. We arrange premium hospitality experiences sourced through our network. Every experience is set out to you in writing - exactly what is being sourced, what it includes and what it does not - before you commit to anything. We would rather be straight with you about that than imply an official status we do not hold.

Centre Court is the main show court, with a capacity of approximately 14,979. It hosts the singles finals and the majority of marquee matches, and it has a retractable roof so play continues in all weather. No.1 Court is the second show court, capacity approximately 12,345, also with a retractable roof, staging high-profile matches throughout the fortnight in a slightly more intimate setting. Centre Court hospitality is the most sought-after and the hardest to secure, particularly in the second week; No.1 Court often represents better availability for the same standard of dining and service.

The Queue is Wimbledon's legendary tradition: fans line up, sometimes overnight, for unreserved daily tickets released on the day. It is a genuine part of the tournament's character - and a considerable commitment of time. Hospitality guests bypass this entirely, entering through dedicated VIP and hospitality entrances with a reserved show-court seat already secured.

As early as you can. The Championships 2027 run from 28 June to 11 July, and the most sought-after dates - Finals Week and Centre Court - are typically reserved months in advance, often before the tournament year begins. The final week from approximately 7 July is the highest demand period. Enquiring early gives you a genuine choice of court and day. Later enquiries are always welcome, but availability narrows quickly and we would rather tell you honestly what is left than pretend otherwise.

Smart casual is the expectation for hospitality guests. The famous all-white clothing rule applies to players on court, not to spectators. Individual hospitality venues within the grounds may set their own standards, so your named account manager will confirm the specific dress code for your chosen experience when your booking is confirmed.
