The Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán
The Sánchez-Pizjuán holds 43,883 and is named after the club president who drove its construction in the 1950s. It is steep, close to the pitch and almost entirely enclosed, which is why visiting players talk about it the way they do - the ground generates an atmosphere on European nights that larger, shallower stadiums cannot.
