Bigger than any Rugby World Cup before it - 24 teams, a new knockout round, 52 matches.

24 teams, six pools of four

The first time the tournament has expanded beyond 20 teams, with the 24 qualified sides drawn into six pools of four.

A new Round of 16

A Round of 16 has been introduced before the quarter-finals, taking the tournament to 52 matches across six weeks.

Pool draw: December 2025

The pool draw took place in December 2025, with all 24 qualified teams confirmed.

The 12 automatic qualifiers

France, New Zealand, Italy, Ireland, South Africa, Scotland, Wales, Fiji, Australia, England, Argentina and Japan all qualified automatically from Rugby World Cup 2023.

The final

Stadium Australia, Sydney, 13 November 2027 - the closing match of the six-week tournament.

Seven confirmed host cities, spread right across Australia.

Perth Stadium

The opening match venue, with a capacity of 61,266, bringing the tournament's first fixture to Western Australia.

Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

One of the country's great rectangular rugby grounds, renowned for its atmosphere and central city location.

Adelaide Oval

A celebrated hybrid venue in the heart of Adelaide, combining heritage with a modern spectator experience.

Melbourne

Newcastle and Townsville

For UK supporters

Why RWC 2027 is unmissable for UK fans

England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland have all qualified - meaning UK buyers have four potential teams to follow across the tournament, rather than pinning a trip on a single side. For a travelling supporter, that materially changes how a six-week itinerary can be built.

Australia as host nation creates a once-in-a-generation sporting occasion in one of the world's great sports countries. The expanded format means more matches, more occasions and more opportunities for premium hospitality across the six-week window - from the opening match in Perth through to the final in Sydney.

What to expect

Rugby World Cup hospitality, explained

Hospitality at a Rugby World Cup usually means premium seating paired with lounge access, dining and drinks before and after the match - and, for corporate groups, private suites with a dedicated host. Multi-match packages let you follow one nation through the pool stage, or base yourself at a single venue across several fixtures.

DN Global facilitates access through official and authorised channels. Once the 2027 programme is released we will confirm exactly which matches, venues and tiers we can genuinely offer. Until then, registering your interest simply puts you first in line - there is no cost and no obligation.
