Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road

The Championship is English football's second tier and one of the best-attended leagues in Europe - 24 clubs, 46 games each, and a division that in any given season contains several clubs who were in the Premier League very recently. Queens Park Rangers play at Loftus Road in Shepherd's Bush, a ground of around 18,400 hemmed in on all four sides by west London terraced streets, where the stands sit closer to the pitch than almost anywhere else in the professional game.

DN Global sources QPR hospitality through official club channels, on an enquiry basis. We do not publish prices, and we will not claim access to a fixture or a package that has not been released.

The ground

What Loftus Road is actually like

Loftus Road is one of the smallest grounds in the division and by some distance the most compact - four tight stands, no corners, no running track, and an upper tier close enough to the pitch that the away support is audible from every seat in the ground. It has been QPR's home for most of the last century, and the surrounding streets have not moved to accommodate it, which is why the walk in from Shepherd's Bush feels like a proper English matchday rather than a retail park.

The practical consequence for hospitality is supply. A ground this size does not have thousands of premium seats to sell, so the lounges are small and the good fixtures go early. That is worth knowing before you leave an enquiry to the last fortnight.

The case for the second tier

Why Championship hospitality

The Championship is where a hospitality budget goes furthest. The lounge, the dining, the padded seat and the account manager are the same job at either level; the price is not, and neither is the availability. A fixture people would actually enjoy is usually still bookable weeks out rather than committed the previous season.

It is also a better room for entertaining. Premium areas at the biggest grounds run into the thousands of seats, and a group of six inside one of those is a group of six in a crowd. At Loftus Road the hospitality operation is small enough that guests are looked after by people who notice they are there - which is most of what a client remembers afterwards.

Championship hospitality FAQs

Queens Park Rangers, at Loftus Road in west London. The Championship runs to 24 clubs and 46 games each, and we can look at fixtures at other grounds on request - tell us the match you have in mind and we will be straight with you about whether it can be sourced officially rather than promising access we do not have.

As a minimum, a premium padded seat and access to a hospitality lounge with catering. Most tiers add a pre-match meal, a drinks package, a matchday programme and a dedicated entrance away from the general turnstiles, with ex-player hosts and matchday Q&As on several packages. Exact inclusions vary by lounge and by fixture, and your named account manager confirms them in writing before you commit.

Less than the Premier League equivalent, and often by a wide margin - which is the honest reason a lot of corporate groups end up in the Championship rather than a division above. We still do not publish a figure, because it moves by fixture and by lounge. Send us the match and your guest numbers and we will return all-inclusive pricing: the figure we quote is the figure you pay, with no booking fees.

Loftus Road is in Shepherd's Bush, west London, holding around 18,400. White City and Shepherd's Bush Market stations are both a short walk, and Shepherd's Bush itself is on the Central line and the London Overground - so it is one of the most straightforwardly reachable grounds in the country by public transport. There is effectively no matchday parking, so plan to travel in.

Three reasons, and none of them is a compromise. Availability: Premier League hospitality for the fixtures people actually want is committed months ahead, while a Championship match can usually still be arranged with weeks' notice. Cost: the same standard of lounge and dining costs a fraction of the top-flight figure, so a budget that seats two guests at a big Premier League ground will seat a group here. And the ground itself - Loftus Road is small enough that every seat is genuinely close to the pitch, which is not true of the newer stadiums.

Yes, and it suits it well. Loftus Road offers private boxes alongside its lounge packages, and the small capacity means a group is looked after rather than processed. Bookings can be invoiced directly with full VAT documentation, and one named account manager handles everything from first enquiry through to matchday. Give us guest numbers and any dietary requirements when you enquire.
