The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase draw was made in Monaco on 27 August 2026, setting all eight fixtures for each of the 36 clubs. Five English sides are in it - Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United - and each of their four home ties is a hospitality night at the Emirates, Villa Park, Anfield, the Etihad or Old Trafford.

Arsenal drew Real Madrid at home, Manchester City host Paris Saint-Germain and travel to Barcelona, and Liverpool welcome Atletico Madrid to Anfield. The league phase runs from 8 September 2026 across eight matchdays to late January 2027, with the final at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. European allocation is far smaller than for domestic fixtures and the days straight after a draw are when it moves.

How the league phase works

All 36 clubs sit in one table. Each plays eight different opponents - two from each pot, four at home and four away. The top eight go straight to the round of 16; ninth to twenty-fourth meet in a two-legged knockout play-off in February; the rest go out.

Common questions

When was the 2026/27 Champions League draw?

The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase draw was made in Monaco on Thursday 27 August 2026, starting at 17:00 BST (18:00 CET). It set all eight league phase fixtures for each of the 36 clubs: 144 matches in total, with every club playing four at home and four away.

Who did Arsenal get in the Champions League draw?

Arsenal host Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Sabah at the Emirates Stadium, and travel to Bayern Munich, Real Betis, Napoli and Slavia Prague. Real Madrid at home is the standout tie of their league phase.

Who did Liverpool get in the Champions League draw?

Liverpool host Atletico Madrid, FC Porto, Villarreal and Lens at Anfield, and travel to Inter Milan, Club Brugge, Fenerbahce and LASK.

Who did Manchester City get in the Champions League draw?

Manchester City host Paris Saint-Germain, Sporting CP, Napoli and AEK Athens at the Etihad Stadium, and travel to Barcelona, FC Porto, RB Leipzig and Lens. PSG at home and Barcelona away are the ties of the round.

How does the Champions League league phase draw work?

The 36 clubs are split into four pots of nine by UEFA coefficient. Each club is drawn against two opponents from each of the four pots - eight different opponents in all, four at home and four away. Clubs from the same country cannot be drawn together, and no club faces more than two teams from any one league.

Which English clubs are in the 2026/27 Champions League?

Five: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United. England has five league phase places for 2026/27 rather than the standard four, earned on the collective coefficient, with Aston Villa qualifying as 2025/26 Europa League winners.

Have the 2026/27 Champions League fixture dates been confirmed?

Not yet. The draw sets who each club plays and whether the tie is home or away, but not when. UEFA confirms the matchday, date and kick-off time for every fixture in the days after the draw. The league phase itself begins on 8 September 2026 and runs across eight matchdays to late January 2027, and we publish each confirmed date here as soon as UEFA releases it.

When and where is the 2027 Champions League final?

The 2026/27 Champions League final is on Saturday 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, kicking off at 20:00 CEST. UEFA confirmed both the venue and the date in September 2025, so unlike the league phase fixtures the final date is already fixed.

How do I get hospitality for a Champions League fixture?

Home fixtures for the English clubs are sold through each club official UEFA hospitality programme, which DN Global books on your behalf - VIP tickets, executive suites and matchday dining with all-inclusive pricing and no booking fees. Allocation is smaller than for domestic games and moves quickly in the days after a draw.
